Emilia as she poetically narrates sees her art as ‘in rhythm but out of time’, she has an uncanny ability to thread together visual metaphors from complex realities into powerful forms. Using 10 years of experience as an educator, researcher, and freelance artist in the field of Authorial Illustration. She has a strong artistic eye and an even stronger knowledge of software to support a large variety of outputs.
Her art is contemporary but built on traditional values. She once said to Vero ‘It’s within the uncomfortable liminal spaces of recognition of repetitions that capture my attention. I feel it allows readers to build multiple narratives from the apex.’ A sign of a strong storyteller is one who can take everyone on their own emotive journey.
